Junque Journal

I am really enjoying collecting item for this new junque journal. It is a composition book, where you add all the little receipts, cards and empheria from your daily life. All the little things that you stick back because of sentimental reasons or just because you like it. That is the stuff that you put into a junque journal. Some is very personal and some is just cute or funny things that you like and thought to save at the time, Christmas Cards or Birthday cards from friends. I started this by going around the house and searching all the drawers in end tables and kitchen drawers for little things that I saved. I found jokes, business cards, receipts and etc. So much fun and only the beginning.
My inspiration can be found here.

Take your "Flying Pig" to work day

Did you know it was "take your flying pig to work day"? Okay, It is only that day for me because I know most people don't own a flying pig. I made that up.
I brought Victoria to work with me for awhile, She doesn't get any quality time with me at home. She sits in my craft room all week long so today is her day.

Welcome to AOC, Victoria!!!

Roben-Marie Smith's AJ Class

I love taking classes online. Some have really bombed but this class was at the top of the list. Best class I have taken in awhile. Roben really has a great style and I learned some great techniques.  Class Link

Here are some of the Art Journal pages that I have created so far with the class. It is all about the layers!!

badger is 6 months old

Badger was born on 01/10/2011, so he was 6 months old this past Sunday. I was dealing with a hurting back so we had a little photo shoot right in the living room.
Shelby is the best big sister a boy could ask for. She is gentle (most of the time) with him and still loves to play as if she was still 6 months old. They are best friends.. He seems so lost when she is outside is the big puppy pen and he is still inside. They love each other to death....

Vintage Children ATC swap

I just finished up hosting a Vintage Children ATC swap. It had 8 ladies to play and all the ATC's are amazing. I didn't take a photo of each ATC before mailing them back out to the players today, but here are ones that I got to keep. These are a bunch of talented ladies. All the different styles and levels of layers made for a great swap.

Free creative - canvas art

This is a canvas that I created last weekend. It was inspired by a combination of Christy Tomlinson workshops that I have taken over the past couple of months and Dina Wakley Art Journaling workshops that I took about one year ago. It was alot of fun to create because there was no pressure to create anything in paticular , follow a certain style from a certain artist.

collage art -Donna Downey wk 1

I love this piece! It is my take on Donna Downey's Collage Monday Challenge for Week 1. I covered the pages with book text and then used double sided paper , simply torn the paper into pieces and glued them down with a glue stick. I then used a Bazzill card stock scrap and cut out the letters with the Opposites- cricut font. Outlined the letters with charcoal pencil and used Oil Pastel crayons to darken the cardstock color some. Lastly I outlined the whole page with the same Oil pastel crayon and stamped on the letter T with stazon black ink and DD's This is art stamp.
