Artsy stuff at work

I decided to take some of my favorite pieces to work so that I can enjoy them all day long.

These are the houses that were done in two different PAO swaps last year. I finally found them again and hinged them together. they look so great in my office window. Thanks to Pam Cook, Cheryl H., Honey, Pam P. and Marianne for these wonderful houses.

this is a canvas that I did a couple weeks ago for a challenge. Is is made of the scrap/trash that was laying around on my scrapping desk. I really like it alot too.

This is the altered art doll that was made by Sue and sent to me in a PAO swap also.

Springtime Chunky Courage Swap

Another round of Chunky courage swap- each player sends you 5 items and you have to create a 4 X 4 page using all 5 items. You can add items of your own but you have to use their items. These photos aren't that great but what can I say it was a cell phone camera.

Finishing touches on my 2010 art journal

Playing with mist and rubons.
background is swirled paint and glossy accents for rain drops. Poem said: Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain".

This one is my favorite, a new technique that I learned in a Aj class that I took a few months ago. love it!

again a new technique with misting.

I did this one after watching Donna Downey's video on her blog. Stencils and drippage. Also I used one of the image tags from a recent swap on PAO.

a few more art journal pages for my book

I had a couple blank pages in my round 1 and 2 signatures. I completed all four single pages that now complete my first two signatures. I just love playing around with different types of backgrounds. What I emblish the page with isn't near as important or fun as making the backgrounds. I usually make up a 1/2 dozens or so backgrounds at the time and then wait on something to come along that strikes me to finish off the page with.

Lastest Art Journal Page

I just finished this AJ page for a friend. It was a real struggle at first. I hated the background. But with some advice from my other friend, Christy I added gesso on top of the misted background. It became this awesome mixture of colors b/c the gesso sorta smeared the misted blue ink. I love it!! I then changed everything that I had planned and instead put this woman from a magazine ad on the page. After I took this picture, I added the word dream along her left arm. Perfect! I hope my friend likes it b/c I love it!!!!
